Is it discrimination for my business to charge more based on race and age?

Studies have shown that a particular percentage of some races especially those of a certain age have a tendency to be more careless than others. Is it really discrimination or aren't i just protecting my business from unnecessary expenses? I would appreciate some sources that you base your answers on.
